We were commissioned by West Berkshire Council to put forward ideas to improve Newbury centre, starting with the market square, which is currently dominated by cars, with a plethora of associated signs, barriers and greyness...

Our proposal was to extend the pedestrianised zone, resurface with fountains, trees and other high quality street furniture including demountable brollies, and to encourage surrounding buildings to open into the square, thereby creating a vibrant multi-purpose space for everyone to enjoy at all times.
